Minutes of the Florence Aquaculture CRSP Program & Technical Committee Meeting (702K DOC file) Technical guidance for the CRSP is provided by the Technical Committee
(TC). The TC monitors program research, proposes modifications to the
research agenda, and recommends research activities. The TC:
The organization of the TC is centered around three strategic research
areas: production optimization, environmental effects, and social and
economic aspects. The composition of the TC is diverse, representing
various disciplines and institutions and including women and men from
US and host country CRSP projects. TC members serve two-year terms.
The TC consists of three subcommittees: Materials and Methods, Work
Plan and Budget, and Technical Progress. The PMO may appoint additional
members to the TC to provide expertise in underrepresented research
areas. In accordance with BIFAD guidelines, the USAID Cognizant Technical
Officer, CRSP Director, and CRSP Assistant Director serve as ex-officio
members of the TC. |

Technical Progress SubcommitteeThis subcommittee continuously reviews work plans and data resulting
from the various CRSP research activities. It identifies problems
that may impede technical progress and prepares a report that contains
recommendations for corrective action. This report is distributed
to the TC prior to its annual meeting. This subcommittee moderates
discussions about technical progress at the annual meeting. |

Work Plan and Budget SubcommitteeThis subcommittee is responsible for developing with the PMO a work
plan. It is also responsible for review and recommendations to the
Management Entity (PMO) for research activities to be included in
a work plan. |
